The Obvio ! project started in 2001, with the innovative urban microsport cars

designed by Anisio Campos, a famous Brasilian car designer, painter and sculptor

- and one of the Obvio ! developers. For us, Anisio is a "live legend" of the brasilian car

design, since the `50´s,when started his career designing and driving racing cars...

Anisio and the Obvio ! model 828, with Carlos de Carvalho, Fabio Oshiro and Saulo

Tatizawa -  part of the Obvio ! Design staff.

He started his career as a industrial designer, graphic artist and sculptor. In the 60’s - as soon as the car industry starts in Brasil - he got involved in motor racings, looking for opportunities to show his talent to develop innovative chassis and body designs, developed by himself.

In 1966, Anisio Campos created and developed the CARCARÁ. This streamlined car

breaks the world record of speed: 212,9 Km/h, using a 1.0 Liter - 3 cylinders

two-stroke DKW / AUTO-UNION power plant.

As a racing pilot, he had a famous and well recognized career at DACON Racing

Team, as one of the pilots of the Karmann-Ghia / Porsche Dacon – four Karmann-Ghia in fiberglass

bodyshell using motors, gearboxes and brakes from Porsche 904.

The Karmann-Ghia / Porsche - Dacon changed the rules in Brasilian racings - 1966

The final of some racings with the three cars of Escuderia Dacon: the 77 in first, the 7 in second and the 12 in third.

Everything was happyness and popularity to the four pilots of "Escuderia Dacon": José Carlos "Moco" Pace,

Chiquinho Lameirão, Rodolpho Olival Costa and Emerson Fittipaldi.

DACON was the biggest VW dealer and the exclusive distributor of Porsche cars in

Brasil since 1968, based in São Paulo, and the other pilots are Emerson Fittipaldi (the

“MOUSE”), Wilson Fittipaldi (the “BIG TIGER”) and  Jose Carlos Pace (the “MOCO”) .

Up to 1976 he worked as a Team-Manager to the famous Hollywood Cigars Team – an

former team at the US CART – after their development of the Group 4 FIA in Brasil, using

the AC G4, his own development of a competition chassis in tubular frame, Porsche or

VW mid engine, fiberglass body.
